Vitasta School of Law and Humanities organized a Legal Literacy and Outreach Programme in the villages of Nagbal, Yusmarg, as part of its practical legal education curriculum.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Aijaz Khaliq, Mr. Abrar Fazili and Ms. Sami ul Islam. Law students were divided into teams and engaged with local residents through door-to-door visits and interactive awareness sessions.
The campaign focused on key socio-legal issues, including Domestic Violance, Women’s Rights, Child Rights, Free Legal Aid, and Anti-Drug Awareness. Students explained various legal provisions and government support mechanisms in a simple and accessible manner.
The villagers participated enthusiastically and appreciated the initiative. The supervising faculty members highlighted the importance of legal awareness in empowering communities and commended the students for their active participation and commitment to public service.
The programme concluded successfully with a vote of thanks to the village heads and local administration for their support and cooperation.
