Vitasta School of Law Observes Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Day
Vitasta School of Law observed Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Day with great enthusiasm and reverence by organising a seminar in honour of the principal architect of the Constitution of India, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.
The programme commenced with an address by the Director, who highlighted the importance of organising such programmes for students of all semesters. In his address, he emphasised that Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals of equality, justice, liberty and fraternity continue to guide the nation and remain highly relevant for law students and future legal professionals.
The seminar witnessed active participation from students and faculty members. Many speakers presented their views on the life, philosophy and contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar towards nation building and the framing of the Constitution of India. The speakers also stressed upon the need to uphold constitutional values in contemporary society.
A speech competition was also held on the occasion in which students from different semesters participated enthusiastically.
The results of the competition were declared as follows:
First Position: Laiba, 2nd Semester
Second Position: Tabiya, 9th Semester
Third Position (Tie): Danish, 6th Semester and Tooba, 2nd Semester
Certificates were distributed among all the participants and winners in appreciation of their efforts and participation.
Principal Rakib Ahmad Zia highlighted the relevance of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s philosophy, particularly for the younger generation facing contemporary social and academic challenges.
Principal Zia focused on the core pillars of Ambedkar’s message, framing them as a roadmap for personal and collective progress.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Ms. Nosheen Ismail, who thanked the management, faculty members, participants and students for making the event successful and memorable.
