Vitasta Law College today participated in the seminar organised by the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) on the theme “Telecom, Broadcasting & Cyber Sectors: Disputes & Resolution” at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar.
A group of eleven students of BA LLB 9th semester from the College attended the seminar under the leadership of Mr. Umar Rather and Mrs.Nosheen Ismail.The programme brought together eminent personalities from the judicial and legal fraternity, including Hon’ble Judges of the High Court and Supreme Court, senior judicial officers, experts from the telecom and cyber sectors, and other distinguished dignitaries.
The seminar proved to be highly informative and enriching for both the students and faculty members of the College. Various important issues relating to telecom regulation, cyber law, broadcasting disputes, digital governance and recent legal developments in the cyber sector were discussed in detail by the resource persons.
The students were particularly fascinated by the deliberations as the seminar was directly relevant to their study of cyber law. The discussions enlightened them about the latest amendments, emerging legal challenges and contemporary laws governing the cyber, telecom and broadcasting sectors.
An interactive question answer session was also held at the end of the technical sessions. During this session, faculty members from Vitasta Law College actively participated and raised pertinent questions before the resource persons, contributing meaningfully to the discussion.
The programme concluded with the distribution of participation certificates among all participants, including the students of Vitasta Law College, followed by lunch at the venue.
The College expressed its gratitude to the organisers for providing such a valuable opportunity to the students and faculty members to interact with leading experts and members of the judiciary on issues of contemporary legal importance.
