A regional Event cum Work shop under the Tele Law initiative of the Designing Innovative Solutions for holistic access to justice (DISHA) scheme

A Regional Event-cum-Workshop under the Tele-Law Initiative of the Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice (DISHA) Scheme was organized today at SKICC, Srinagar, by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.

The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by the Guest of Honour, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Several eminent dignitaries and representatives from diverse fields of the legal fraternity were also present on the occasion.

Mr. Rakib Ahmad Zia, Principal, Vitasta School of Law and Humanities, accompanied by Ms. Samreena Mehraj, Faculty Member, and students of the college, attended the programme.

The workshop focused on promoting legal awareness, strengthening access to justice through technology-enabled legal services, and enhancing pro bono legal support mechanisms. The event provided a significant platform for meaningful deliberations, interaction, and knowledge sharing aimed at advancing legal empowerment and ensuring inclusive access to justice for all sections of society.
